    South Side

    Explore the underground world of the Ape Cave lava tube; casts of ancient trees entombed by lava at Trail of Two Forests;  and majestic waterfalls and  columnar lava formations in Lava Canyon. Access to the South side is via Forest Roads 90, 83 and 8303.  Roads are generally snow free from mid-May thru October.
